Fr Joseph Pulavelil MST

Fr Joseph Pulavelil was born on 10 February 1974 at Ambalavayal in Wayanad District of Kerala. After completing his Higher Secondary School, he joined the Deepti Minor Seminary, Melampara, Bharananganam on 15 June 1989. He did his philosophy and theology in Ruhalaya Major Seminary, Ujjain and was ordained a priest for the Missionary Society of St Thomas the Apostle (MST) by Bishop Mar Emmanuel Pothanamuzhy on 17 April, 2001.

He was sent to the Sangli Mission Region of the MST (2001-2004), and then he was appointed as the Rector of the Minor Seminary of the SOLA Fathers at Bangalore and its Secretary and Treasurer (2004-2007). He secured a Licentiate in Church History from the Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome (2007-2011) and was appointed the Rector of Jeevan Jyoti, the MOC of the MST, Srirangapatna, near Mysore (2011-2014). From 1 August 2014 he took charge as the Secretary to the Apostolic Visitation of the Syro-Malabar Migrant Faithful residing outside the Proper Territory in India at Mount St Thomas, Kakkanad.
